Railroad Story - Train Simulator App Reviews

It just locks up and dies. Im running on a brand spanking new MBP with 16gb or RAM and plenty of storage and not much installed, but this app just locks up and dies. How do you get a refund?

Call me a sucker for still buying this app despite multiple reports of instability in the program. Thought that because I had the new macbook with retina display that I might not have the same issues. I was lucky enough to get to level 5 before it crashed the first time, now I cant get past level 4…the worst part is it did not save my progress so I have to go through the tutorial every time….PLEASE FIX!!!! I would happily rate this game 4 or 5 stars but will remain a 1 star until I can actually play through the entire game. DO NOT BUY THIS VERSION!!!!!!

The first few stages of this game were pretty good. I dont know about anything past that because it keeps freezing and I have to do a Force Quit to get my computer back from it.

I was very excited to play this game once i bought it but and it was fun, until every time i get to the 5th level the game crashes and i need to restart the computer. Please fix this!

This game keeps crashing. It has a lot of promis to keep me entertained for hours but then it locks up and I have to FORCE QUIT. Youre better off waiting until the bugs are smashed.

I like the premise, but I am constantly crashing and I cant get past the 4th tutorial. I hoep that this is fixed soon. I am running a new maxed out MBP Retina and it just get the beach ball of death. I hope to revise this review soon.

I cant play the game for more than about 3 mintues before it freezes. It seems cool, but cant be sure. Please fix and I will rate higher.

CANT GET PAST LEVEL 5 AND IT CRASHES

This is my second version of Railroad Story. The first version had "freezing up" issues after I installed Mountian Lion last month. This version was supposed to correct the freezing issue but Im finding it still exixts with this version. A fix is needed. Otherwise I find the game rather thought provoking and entertaining. I like to challange my previous times on completed missions trying to find quicker routs / switching etc. Once fixed this is a good game.

This game is sooo addicting and fun, I cant believe that I had never heard of this game. I love it!

This game is simply the best! I play this game so much and I still love it! I cant wait for a second one!

Had this game on pc never had any problems,But on Mac could go for two minutes then the spinning wheel it freezes the whole thing need to unplug the computer.Try reporting a problem to apple forget about it.

My complaint is similar to others listed. The game wont get past level 5 without crashing. I have tried numerous times as the game has potential but no luck. At some point it just says "city closed to traffic" and wont respond. Other times it just freezes up. Can we get a patch?? How about a refund??

It locked up my iMac to the point that I had to turn off the power and restart. I couldnt even back out to the OS. That issue needs a fix and fast. I was having a lot of fun right up until that point.

Im real fan of anything connected with trains and rails, so I couldnt omit this app. I tried it and now I love it.

Really like this game: a perfect balance of nice graphics, interesting gameplay an intuitive controls. New update bringer more stability on retina and OS X 10.8

If you love trains, this is mesmerizing. Cant put it down!

Update Sep 13, 2012: after the update games seems to work much better. Luckily, it doesnt crash on my computer (Mac Mini 2011), however there are some minor problems here and there. Hope developers will fix them in updates. Besides all glitches, it is interesting and worst spending some hours at the evening.

This game rocks!!!! The occasional lag but, could be many different things. Overall, a great, addictive, game. ONLY THING IS...IT NEEDS MORE LEVELS!!!!

Love the game, great thanks to the creators. One point to note, however: longer levels do not build up tension, you just keep it going. Also, would be happy to see more construction/changes of courses, etc. Now you just build the tracks and just keep directing trains for hours on end. Interesting? Sure, yes. Exciting? Not quite as much as it could.
