Railroad Story - Train Simulator App Reviews

Downloaded this app a few days ago and I’ve already managed to complete 8 missions. Above all, I’d like to note the excellent idea of this game. I’ve always liked railroad, and here I’m offered with the opportunity to build it and to control its traffic. The first 4 missions are tutorial. They show the basic elements of controls. Everything is made easily and clear. And that’s what I want to express special thanks to the developers for. Gameplay is diverse and addictive. With each mission there is given a new task to fulfill. I’ll tell straight that I couldn’t always complete it on the first try, but due to this the game was becoming more and more interesting. The game is definitely worth its money. Buy it – you won’t regret.

Great game, 15 levels that kept me looking for more. great game…..are there other games from these writers?

I am enjoying the game so far, but sometimes laying out merging tracks gets frustrating. Would be nice if the dots on the track would show up when you pick the add track tool. That way you can click on a dot on the track and go from there to merge onto another part of the track. Besides that concern, it is fun and addictive.

Very entertaining. Have played it many times. My only complaint is that I’d like to see more challenging scenarios added. All scenarios can be played within a few hours.

For an app, this is great. It really passes the time and I enjoy trains. Graphics are real good and the controls work good.

My 7 year old son absolutely LOVES trains. This is a great game with awesome graphics. If I could, I would give it ten stars.

This is one of those games you set out to play for only a few minutes and then you realize an hour has passed and youre still playing.

Ive run into a few issues with this one that have made my experience less than enjoyable. First, there are a few times when certain game elements get in the way, for example if you have a switch too close to a town, the town or town label will cover it up making it impossible to use. More frustrating however, is that in some of the higher levels of the game, it seems to break for example Im not able to bring up the list of trains in ANY city. I can save, quit, come back, launch one train then the same problem - this wasnt an issue on smaller levels with only a few cities, but its fairly frustrating to be near the end and not be able to finish it out. For the money/fun factor, Ive enjoyed Sid Meyers Railroads much better than this one. (Railroad story)

Well worth the $2.99 price and kept me busy for many hours. Very enjoyable game play. I do agree with the reviewer about the town names covering up switches and design elements like that. However, I just tried to build around that the best I could. I just wish there was more! Perhaps an upgrade or add on with more towns or a free play of sorts… I would like to continue playing and may just play some of the levels over again.

After connecting two cities by rail, you have a 50/50 chance that the game will not recognize the new route. It is unconscionable that there is no way to request a refund for such poorly written games.
